About this course:
Learn to implement key libraries in Python for data transformation and pandas. No prior programming experience required.
Python is relatively easy to learn, popular and is an open-sourced tool, with applications for Machine Learning, Data Analytics and Cloud Computing. It also offers a number of powerful repositories for financial analysis that are increasingly linked to the accounting function.
Accountants typically perform Financial Modelling using Excel/VBA. Python expands the tool kit available to excel users. You don't have to be limited by how much data you can see on your screen.
The interoperability of python and excel now offers opportunities to take your spreadsheet further and opens up the efficiencies of pandas, numpy, matplotlib, plotly, and sklearn libraries which are state-of-the-art and are free to download.
Learning outcomes:
You will learn key techniqutes such as:
• Data Management
• Transformation
• Visualization
• Setting up user defined functions in Excel using VBA
• Report writing embedded in shareable Python notebook, Jupyter notebooks and Google Colab
• Programming your excel workbooks with Python
• scikit-learn
