In early 2018, member research was conducted by Amarach Research with one of the key priorities for members emerging as building brand awareness of CPA Ireland.  This year it was identified that CPAs advise over 100,000 businesses in Ireland and, in September, the ‘Take your Business Anywhere with a CPA’ campaign was launched. This campaign highlighted the value that CPAs provide to businesses. One of the key success factors from this campaign saw that the traffic to the ‘Find A Firm’ page on the CPA Ireland website, increased by 93%.

We were delighted to have been awarded a European Digitalisation Award for Member Services by Accountancy Europe in acknowledgment of our innovative digital learning initiative through the new learning management system, Canvas.

In today’s digital world, the online experience for our members and students is essential and Canvas provides us with the building blocks needed to enable our members to maximise their learning experience.

 

In 2019 CPA Ireland Skillnet launched two new diploma programmes, one in Forensic Accounting and a second in Data Analytics.

The uptake on both diplomas has exceeded expectations and we are encouraged to see CPA Ireland members engaging in autonomous further learning both in the classroom setting and through our award-winning online platform.


 

In a positive year for international engagement CPA Ireland renewed our Mutual Recognition agreements with CPA Australia and CPA Canada as well as signing a new MRA with Chartered Accountants Sri Lanka.

These agreements provide routes for qualified members of CPA Ireland to become a member of another body, and to enjoy the benefits which each organisation offers.
We were delighted to host the launch of the ICA India Irish Chapter in the CPA Ireland offices in January 2019 and wish them every success with their network.
