In March 2020, a new Charity SORP Review group was formed with members drawn from the 4 charity law jurisdictions (including Ireland) covered by Irish-UK GAAP. This group will advise the SORP-making body on a review of the existing SORP and recommend changes to be incorporated in an updated SORP that is planned to coincide with a review of Irish-UK GAAP accounting standard FRS 102 by the Financial Reporting Council. This review group has requested input from Irish Charities and practitioners and requested CPA Ireland members for their survey as part of their engagement process to draw in views and ideas on improving the SORP.
