• How will I be invoiced?
Invoices for 2026 subscriptions will be generated in January 2026, and members will receive an email notification when invoices are available to download and pay online.
Payments should be made via the Chartered Accountants Ireland website using your existing membership number and bank details.

• What support is available with the payment of my fees?
Chartered Accountants Ireland offers various abatements to annual subscriptions depending on a member’s circumstances.

Deadline for abatement applications: 31 March 2026.
Notice for MRA Members:
Members who joined through a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) are not eligible for an abatement from this organization. Please contact your original professional body for any abatement requests.
• What happens if I don't pay my fees?
A late fee of €50 will be applied to members who have not paid by 30 April 2026.
Failure to pay may result in removal from membership for non-payment, unless an abatement or other arrangement is in place.
This is in line with the byelaws of both Institutes.

• Do Chartered Accountants have a Benevolent Fund and how do I contribute/request assistance from it?

• How do I apply for admission/re-admission to membership of Chartered Accountants Ireland?
All CPA Ireland members were carried across to Chartered Accountants Ireland on 1 September 2024.
If you were not a CPA member on that date, you will need to apply for admission separately.
• How do I become a fellow?

• Do I have to be a fellow of CPA Ireland to become a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland?
No. Please visit the section dedicated to designation letters for details.
• How do I join regional societies?
You will be automatically allocated to your local district society based on your geographical location and will receive communications from that society. We also encourage you to sign up to Chartered Accountants Ireland social channels.

• How will I hear about upcoming District Society events in my region and what communications will I receive?
You will automatically receive District Society eNewsletters based on your location. We also encourage you to follow Chartered Accountants Ireland on social media.
