CPA Ireland and CA SRI Lanka MRA renewal

CPA Ireland and The Institute of Chartered Accountants Sri Lanka renew Mutual Recognition Agreement.

CPA Ireland CEO Eamonn Siggins and CPA Ireland President Mark Gargan joined a virtual meeting with President of CA Sri Lanka, Mr. Heshana Kuruppu and completed the renewal of the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with The Institute of Chartered Accountants Sri Lanka on Thursday 25th April 2024.

The Mutual Recognition Agreement recognises that global portability is becoming increasingly important for professional accountants around the world and strengthens the global relationships and opportunities for members of both organisations.

Under the agreement, members in good standing of either body will be considered for membership by the other body and enjoy the benefits that both organizations can offer. Members wishing to practice public accounting will be required to meet the specific regulatory and legal requirements in each jurisdiction.
