CPA Ireland, one of Ireland’s leading accountancy bodies wishes to appoint a Market Engagement and Growth Lead to work alongside an agile, multidisciplinary and creative team to grow the CPA Ireland student and member community.

About the role

As a senior executive, you will report directly to the Chief Executive, holding overall responsibility/accountability for CPA Ireland's student/member growth strategies.

You will rapidly acquire knowledge and understanding of all Institute activity to support you in identifying growth opportunities and translating any opportunities into growth strategies for the Institute. You will be exemplary in working cross functionally and operating at the highest level in a dynamic organisation, partnering with multiple functions across the business to deliver to our goals.
 
You will:
• Drive organisational growth and lead activities to increase student and membership numbers
• Identify, develop, and monitor growth strategies across Business Development and Marketing, to bring new services and propositions to market
• Effectively interface with and inform Directorate regarding market conditions, student/ member expectations and opportunities for innovations
• Represent CPA Ireland at events (to include occasional overseas travel as required)
• Devise, implement and coordinate best-in-class business development practices across sales management, sales forecasting, revenue planning, pipeline management, opportunity conversion, client management and performance analysis
• Deliver strategic communications across multiple channels, both nationally and globally to grow the CPA Ireland community
• Effectively partner with internal and external leadership, to drive growth
• Represent CPA Ireland with all relevant stakeholders, nationally and internationally to promote the CPA Ireland qualification

Stakeholder Engagement
• Develop professional relationships with multiple stakeholders (Professional Services firms, other Professional Bodies, Universities Government Agencies, Employers and International Partners)
• Manage all relevant internal and external relationships to ensure maximum client/prospective student satisfaction through service delivery and ongoing support
• Lead in the identification, attraction, and retention of key partnerships to drive growth

Marketing
• Develop, enhance and oversee the CPA brand and to track its effectiveness
• Lead the internal marketing team to build high impact campaigns
• To oversee and approve the marketing and communication outputs & proposals of the marketing and student recruitment officers
• Engage with an external PR agency to position CPA Ireland in the media

People
• Lead the Business Development team through a target-based reporting infrastructure
• Support team members in their development through knowledge sharing and mentoring
• Support the coordination of shared goals across the BD team, to support the Institute’s growth strategy

The successful candidate will:
• 5+ experience in a senior level business development, marketing, or sales management position
• Be creative and have the vision and enthusiasm to achieve strategic goals
• Hold a proven track record of heading up a team and delivering outstanding results
• Be a leader who thrives on dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment
• Be comfortable with a sales-based approach to business development
• Be conversant with data analysis and the best tools for retrieving, manipulating, and visualising data
• Have a deep understanding of demand and lead generation strategies
• Be a personable and inclusive leader with a well-established network
• Be a role model for a culture of innovation
• Be a self-starter capable of working on his or her own initiative and influencing people at the very highest level
• Demonstrate a strong understanding for brands and an ability to use brand to help drive change and maintain brand message consistency
• Have excellent stakeholder management, influencing, interpersonal, communication and IT skills
• Have professional qualifications in strategy or marketing
It will also be advantageous if this candidate has experience working in a field related to accountancy and finance or recruitment in an educational Institution.
