All students who intend to sit examinations this April should have received an examination confirmation email containing an examination number. If you have not received this, you may not be registered for your examination. In this case, please contact Lisa Kelly at lkelly@cpaireland.ie immediately.
In the coming days, all registered candidates for the April 2024 examinations will be issued with their Username and Password for our online examination platform, Cirrus. When you receive this information, please log in to the Cirrus platform, where you will be greeted with a “mock” exam paper which will have Proctorio invigilation software enabled. This exam will be provided for you to ensure that your laptop/PC meets the minimum system requirements to enable you to sit the CPA Ireland examinations in April 2024. These minimum requirements along with other important FAQs can be found here on our website.
Please note, as part of the login process you will be instructed to download a Proctorio Google Chrome extension to ensure that the Proctorio software will work on your computer. You will not be able to sit your exam if you do not have this extension installed.
It is advisable for students to spend at least an hour in the “mock” exam environment to replicate the “real” exam environment as much as possible and identify any issues such as poor Wi-Fi connectivity, poor bandwidth, and issues with RAM so that they can be remedied before sitting your “real” exam in April. Please note this examination will be recorded but will not be marked.
All registered candidates for the April 2024 examinations will only have one attempt at this “mock” exam so please ensure to sit the exam replicating the “real” exam day environment in order to test the system properly. The “mock” examination will only be available to sit from Thursday 4 April until midnight on Wednesday 17 April 2024. There will be no facility to sit this exam outside of these dates.
Candidates should also note that any examinations registered for in April 2024 will not be displayed on your Cirrus Dashboard until Friday 19 April at earliest. CPA Ireland will notify you once the examination(s) you have registered for have been scheduled on Cirrus and will ask you to check these in advance of your first examination.
