Corporate Enforcement Authority - Man pleads guilty to company law offence

Arising from an investigation by the Corporate Enforcement Authority (“CEA”), Mr. Robert Browne (53), with an address at Treanlawn, Killoe, Co. Longford, was arraigned before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court today.
 
Mr. Browne entered a plea of guilty to 1 count of Providing False Information contrary to s. 876 of the Companies Act 2014.  
 
The charge follows an investigation by the CEA in relation to the unauthorised and unlawful use of an Auditor Registration Number in the submission of annual returns to the Companies Registration Office.
 
Mr. Browne was remanded on continuing bail by Judge Martin Nolan to 19th December 2022 at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for sentence and the preparation of victim impact statements.
