We are looking for a results-driven and confident Financial Controller to manage and improve our organisations financial performance and direct our accounting operations. Duties for the Financial Controller will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing accounting operations, analysing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information

The Role

Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a Financial Controller will aid our organisation in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organisational targets, and developing financial plans that support organisational strategy
 
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers, be highly organised, and have excellent leadership skills.  The noteworthy Financial Controller should streamline our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports, train staff on business finance issues, promote regulatory compliance, and drive income generation.

Main areas of responsibility

  • Preparing financial reports for all group companies on a timely basis including production of monthly and annual reports to allow for analysis of results and trends
  • Analysing financial data and suggesting improvements for systems including accounting and payroll
  • Monitoring internal controls and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and that cash control, sales control and creditor and stock reconciliations are accurate and reliable
  • Participating in budgeting processes including examining and commenting on overhead expenses and identifying cost reduction opportunities
  • Streamlining accounting functions and operations including managing relevant staff and their responsibilities
  • Coordinating audit processes to include liaising with external auditor to ensure compliance with all regulations
  • Administering payroll across all group companies

Financial Controller Requirements

  • Proven experience in finance management
  • Good communication skills

  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals

  • Compliance oriented
  • Proficiency in accounting software

Other areas of responsibility

Overseeing the work of other employees in the group to ensure internal reporting deadlines are adhered to

Travel between the group’s sites will be necessary and therefore the successful candidate must have access to a car and have a full clean driving licence
