SeaChange is seeking an experienced, motivated and hands-on management accountant who will work closely with the senior management team to lead significant growth and success.  

Role Title: Financial Accounts Manager
Contract Type: Permanent Full-Time
Location: Naas, Co. Kildare, Ireland
Reporting To: Ger Cummins, CEO, SeaChange Ltd
Hours of Work: 40hrs/ Week, plus additional hours as required

 

Key Areas of Role

To support the strategic growth and success of SeaChange Ltd by delivering on the following:  
  • Interpreting & reporting financial information to aid the Board of Directors in business decision-making and control
  • Providing monthly management accounts with budgets & forecasts to guide business planning
  • Carrying out pricing & margin analysis by product/ sector
  • Negotiating costs; monitoring & reporting on cost variance
  • Competitor analysis, strategic planning and investor appraisal
  • Strategic financial modelling regarding new products & new markets
  • Providing operational and functional financial insight, planning & analysis; working with managers on business data to drive commercial success
  • Managing the day-to-day finance & accounts operations: payroll, debtors, creditors, cashflow, compliance, grant applications, cost-analysis & cost-reduction, liaising with external accountants regarding eoy accounts
  • Overall responsibility for managing the finance function, team, and any related duties as required by the Directors


Experience Required

  • Management Accountant role in SME or equivalent, reporting to senior management and delivering on the above-mentioned key areas of the role
  • Demonstrated enterprise & ambition to take on business growth challenges and demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Analysing business performance across various departments, sectors & products, drawing commercial conclusions and presenting metrics to key stakeholders
  •  Leading budgeting & business planning; evaluating future business opportunities
  • Strong working capital management performance
  • Combining accounting, finance and general management with the techniques needed to drive a successful business


Qualifications/ Technical Knowledge

  • Qualified Accountant; strong technical expertise for leading the Finance function
  • Experienced in IT / systems / spreadsheet analysis / use of analytical tools 
  • Fluency in written and verbal English
