CPA Ireland 2020 Examinations Update

Considering the developing impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and in protecting the safety and wellbeing of all students, CPA Ireland has made the decision to defer the April 2020 paper based examinations and the May 2020 Computer Based Exams (due to be held in Griffith College) to August 2020.

Formation 2, Professional 1 and Professional 2 exams will be held in the week commencing 31 August 2020 and the Formation 1 exams are scheduled to take place on Friday 7 August and Friday 14 August.

This decision was not taken lightly and has been made following advice issued by the Health Service Executive, Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) and the relevant Irish and international health agencies. In making this decision at this point, we hope it will make it easier for you to alter your study plans accordingly.

Obviously, these are uncertain times and we feel that the above action will provide our students with clarity on how to plan your studies over the coming weeks and months.

We are aware that this must be a very difficult time for you having worked hard to prepare for these examinations. We are here to support you with any queries or questions you may have so please feel free to contact the Education & Training Department at CPA Ireland.

Due to this change, we have made some changes to the examination regulations to enable students to combine exam levels if requested.
