CPA Ireland and CPA Belarus Memorandum of Understanding
The Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland (CPA Ireland) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association of Certified Accountants and Auditors of Belarus (ACBA Belarus) which further extends the Institute’s international network and influence.
Under the terms of the Memorandum, the parties agree to cooperate and assist each other across a range of areas including education, training, examination, accounting, auditing, ethics and member body development.
The parties have also agreed to cooperate and assist each other on matters pertaining to Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and Small and Medium Practice (SMP) and on education in International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
Of the agreement, CPA Ireland Director of member services said “This new and exciting partnership between CPA Ireland and ABCA Belarus will help ensure that strengthened public financial management is delivered within Belarus”.
Speaking at the signing, Oksana Ezerskaya, Executive Director, ACBA Belarus said “We are delighted that CPA Ireland and ACBA Belarus signed this MOU that sets out the basis for a future co-operative relationship. The MOU has been created to reflect the interests of both parties, which are unified in their commitment to serve the public interest through enhanced public financial management. The IPSAS certificate program is the great CPD opportunity for ACBA Belarus members to study IPSAS and be on the cutting edge of public interest and accountancy profession.
