Accounting Technicians Ireland

Approximately 40% of CPA Ireland students come directly from an Accounting Technician background. ATI Graduates are exempt from all subjects at Formation 1 and are exempt from Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Taxation at Formation 2. This means ATI students are only a few steps away from their career as a qualified CPA.

The CPA qualification is open to all and you do not need to be working in a relevant area to start your study. Flexible study options are available at our approved educators around the country, including part time, weekend and e-learning options.

In many cases you will have studied for your accounting technician’s qualification with an educator that also teaches the CPA qualification. If you have previous relevant experience it may count towards the three years relevant supervised training you must obtain to become a fully qualified CPA.

Exemptions

Once you have completed the Accounting Technician exams, you are entitled to a number of attractive exemptions from the CPA exams.

Webinars

Jimmy Sheehan IATI, CPA, speaks with Accounting Technician members and students about his reasons for choosing the CPA qualification.

"The CPA qualification does more than train you to sit at a desk preparing tax returns. The qualification is so diverse that CPAs hold senior roles as CEOs of large corporate concerns, work as project managers in multinationals and within the Big 4. Some like me prefer to control their own destiny and set up their own accountancy practice". To hear more click here
