At the Institute we endeavour to provide support to all our Members on a variety of personal and professional levels at no extra charge to Members.  

Technical Advice

We have a dedicated, experienced team available to answer any technical queries you may have and who aim to provide a solution and information on your query within 24 hours.

Technical Resources 

You will find a number of pages on our website dedicated to keeping you updated and informed on the key areas of the accounting profession. Including: In Practice, Financial Reporting, Auditing, Law & Regulation, Taxation, Ethics along with an SME and Credit Crunch resource. These pages are constantly updated by our experienced technical team and are available on our website.

Accountancy Plus

Issued to you every quarter the Accountancy Plus journal provides core technical articles, along with relevant business and professional pieces and keeps you updated on the work of the Institute.

Monthly eBulletins

Emailed on the last Friday of each month to all Members, the monthly eBulletins provide useful updates from the worlds of Tax, Practice, Business and Financial Reporting. Also included is our upcoming CPE course listing and updates from the Institute.

Regional Societies

Our Regional Societies are active in Leinster, Munster, Mid West, West, Ulster and Britain. Providing networking, social and information events the Regional Societies play an important, active role at a local level.

Job Search Function

The Job Search area of our website has proven extremely popular and successful in recent years. Job Search offers members the opportunity to, not only search for jobs as a job seeker, but also to advertise roles as an employer.

Promotion of CPA qualification

The Institute, our Members and Students know the value and respect demanded with the CPA qualification. The entire team at the Institute endeavour to further enhance this and promote the CPA qualification by recruiting new students and growing the number of people using the CPA designation.


The Institute as a whole represents our Members on a number of levels and we are committed to representing the Membership to government, regulatory and other key stakeholders.

Supporting Members in Difficulty

In difficult times the Institute aims to provide, where possible, support for Members who for whatever reason find themselves in difficulty. These supports include the Member Benevolent Fund and discounted rates on subscriptions and CPE.

Member Benefits

The Institute trawls the market and negotiates preferential rates and discounts for Members across Health Insurance, Professional Indemnity, Car Insurance, Income Protection, Marketing Services, Publications, Software and much more. 

Free and discounted CPD events, webinars and online courses

Throughout the year the Institute provides a number of free CPD for all Members across events, webinars and online courses. In 2015 we provided 4 free CPD webinars, a further free Institute update (2 hours CPD) in four locations and the opportunity to avail of half price on line courses.

Benevolent Fund

The CPA Benevolent Fund was incorporated on 14 May 2000.  The aim of the CPA Benevolent Fund is to provide financial assistance to members, students and/or their dependents/families who, through no fault of their own find themselves in financial difficulty and whose circumstances meet the criteria set by the Directors for the payment of grants.

Member Groups

Members of the Institute may become involved in various groups.
