The Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland announced its new Officer Group for 2015 at the Annual General Meeting held in Dublin on Wednesday 29th April. Mr. Brian Purcell was appointed as President of the Institute, with Ms. Nano Brennan and Ms. Deirdre Kiely announced as Vice Presidents for the coming year.

Mr. Purcell is a founding Director of Purcell McQuillan Tax Partners Limited, a leading independent taxation consultancy practice, established in 2001.  A qualified CPA since 1983, he is a member of TALC (the liaison committee between tax consultants and the Revenue) and is editor of Irish Income Tax the leading authority on income tax in Ireland which is published by Bloomsbury. He lectures extensively on taxation for professional bodies and to business people. Mr. Purcell has over 30 years experience in taxation, and is a member of the Irish Taxation Institute.

Ms. Nano Brennan is a Local Government Auditor, and has been a member of CPA Ireland since 1995. She has been a Council member since 2011 and this is her second year as Vice President. She previously served alongside past President Cormac Fitzgerald. Ms. Brennan is originally from Kilkenny but is currently based in Dublin.

Ms. Kiely, is a Principal of Kiely & Co. Accountants and Business Advisers providing auditing and accountancy services to SME entrepreneurs. She also has extensive experience in the charities and not for profit sector and advises charities on financial reporting and the regulations of the Charities Act 2009.
