A delegation from the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria concluded a four day training programme in Ireland, provided by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland. The CPA Ireland Quality Assurance Programme centred around quality assurance for auditors. The programme highlighted the regulatory structures in place in Ireland for audit firms and demonstrated CPA Ireland’s quality assurance process.
ANAN is a progressive accountancy body, representing more than 20,000 members, approximately half of which work in the public sector and the organisation is currently working towards membership of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
In June 2013 CPA Ireland and ANAN signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU)
, which bound both bodies to offer service and support to each other’s members and to collaborate on joint research, education and other areas of mutual interest.
