99% of newly qualified CPA accountants have secured employment, reflecting the growing opportunities for professional accountants as Ireland’s economy continues to improve. 

“Employment in the Accounting and Legal professions reached its highest level in fifteen years according to recently published CSO figures. Multinational companies are leading the way in terms of accounting and finance jobs in Ireland, but as the economy turns the corner, domestic companies and SMEs are also recruiting.  There has been an increase in the number of permanent jobs available, a change to the semi-permanent and contract work that has dominated the hiring market since the recession” he said. Speaking at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland (CPA Ireland) annual conferring ceremony, Mr. Joe Aherne, CPA Ireland President said that employment in the profession had never been stronger.
