CPA Work Shadowing Programme
Work Shadowing is defined as the “process of accompanying and observing someone at work in order to obtain insight”.
Potential young accountants often have limited knowledge of the day to day role of a professional accountant. CPA has developed a work shadowing programme to address this knowledge gap
Work Shadowing is a short work placement, where a candidate comes into the work place to observe an accountant in their day to day work environment. By observing, first hand, someone working in the field or a related area, it gives an excellent insight into what an Accountant’s job involves and the necessary skills required. Shadowing is usually a short-term activity - a few days at most.
