Renewal of Certificates 2010/2011
 

All CPA Practising Certificate holders must renew their certificates on an annual basis. To ensure that your certificate is renewed you must ensure that all your returns are complete by 26 February 2010.  You will need to login to the website with your membership number and password to renew your certificates.

The returns you will need to make depend on your status:

 

1. Sole Practitioner           

2. Audit Compliance Principal of CPA Regulated Firm                 
3. Other CPA Practitioners                               

4. Investment Business Renewals        

                          

 

1.  Sole Practitioner

You will need to complete the following six steps:

1.             Update your CPA profile (- home address, telephone numbers etc)
2.             Submit your CPE return for 2009. 

3.             Pay your membership subscription.  You will be offered two payment options - pay by credit card or charge to firm.  If you choose the 'charge to firm' option this subscription will be charged to your account and you can clear all your subscriptions together. You will be offered the full range of payment options upon completion of your returns.

4.             Make a Fit and Proper declaration

5.             Renew your Firms Practising or Auditing Certificate - upon completion of this process you will be emailed a pdf document which you will need to get signed and stamped by your insurer as normal.

6.             Go to Manage Order and pay all remaining subscriptions eg. quality assurance sub, auditing cert fee etc.

 2. Audit Compliance Principal of CPA Regulated Partnership

All other partners and audit affiliates must complete their annual return  before you can make the Firms annual return.  Please note that all other partners and audit affiliates may charge their annual subs to the firm and you may pay these in one lump sum upon completion of the annual return.

You will need to complete the following six steps:

1.             Update your CPA profile (- home address, telephone numbers etc) 2.             Submit your CPE return for 2009. 

3.             Pay your membership subscription.  If you wish to pay all subscriptions together or utilise any other payment method other than credit card, please chose the 'charge to firm' payment option

4.             Make a Fit and Proper declaration

5.             Renew your Firms Practising or Auditing Certificate - upon completion of this process you will be emailed a pdf document which you will need to get signed and stamped by your insurer as normal.

6.             Go to Manage Order and pay all remaining subscriptions eg. any unpaid subs of partners, quality assurance sub, auditing cert fee etc.  You will be presented with the full range of payment options at this stage (eg. cheque, IIB finance etc)

3. Partners who are not the Audit Compliance Principal or who are a partner in a non CPA firm 
 You will need to complete the following steps:

1.             Update your CPA profile
2.             Submit your CPE return for 2009
3.             Pay your membership subscription - you will be offered two payment methods - credit card or charge to firm.  If you do not wish to pay by credit card then chose the 'charge to firm' payment option and the audit compliance principal will be responsible for making arrangements to ensure your subscription is paid.
4.             Make a fit and proper declaration


4. Investment Business Annual Returns

All investment Business Firms must akso renew their investment business authorisation. To do this the following steps must be completed.
1. Pay your subscription - you can do this on-line by clicking here.
2. Return your completed annual renewal form.
