Accounting Standards Board (ASB)    
The ASB issue accounting standards for the UK and Ireland.

Financial Reporting Review Panel (FRRP)     
The FRRP seeks to ensure that the provision of financial information by public and large companies in the UK complies with relevant accounting standards.

International Accounting Standards Board (IASB)
The IASB publishes pronouncements called IFRS. It has also adopted a body of standards called International Accounting Standards.

International Federation of Accountants (IFAC)
IFAC issues guidance in the area of public sector accounting. Their handbook of Public Sector Accounting is available to download from their site.

Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)  
FASB publishes financial accounting standards in the US.

IAS Plus
The IAS Plus website, maintained by Deloitte, provides the most comprehensive information on the Internet about international financial reporting
