Peter spent twelve years in a Big Four firm where he gained considerable experience in international corporate tax structuring including financing structures, company migrations and international reorganisations/reconstructions.

He also has significant expertise in financial services tax work, due diligence work, merger and acquisition projects and tax efficient restructurings for both large Irish domestic and multinational corporations. He has advised clients on the tax aspects of property investments, both domestic and international.

Peter’s client portfolio includes Irish and overseas listed multinationals, together with large indigenous Irish companies. These clients span the distribution, food, energy, financial services and retail sectors. Peter also has extensive experience in the public private partnership sector in Ireland and has advised several large multinational groups on such investments in Ireland.

Peter is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) and an associate of the Irish Taxation Institute (ITI). He holds a Bachelor degree in International Commerce (B.Comm).

Fionn Uibh Eachach is a Director in the KPMG Indirect Tax Group specialising in both domestic and international VAT and Trade and Custom matters.

Fionn has 14 years’ experience in advising companies and organisations in a range of different sectors on VAT, trade and customs issues from both an Irish and international perspective, including many large multinational companies. Fionn advises clients in a variety of sectors including financial services, property, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and luxury goods. He also has significant experience advising on restructuring and cross border projects.

Sinead Sweeney is the Change and Communications manager for the PAYE modernisation project. Sinead is a qualified Revenue professional with over 20 years tax experience. Prior to this role Sinead was the PREM audit manager for LCD with responsibility for audit and compliance across the division. She has extensive experience across diverse functions within the Revenue organisation.

Philip O'Connor is a dual qualified tax advisor and chartered quantity surveyor with over 10 years’ experience specialising in capital allowances and other property based tax incentives. He heads up the Gateley Capitus Dublin office and focuses primarily on Irish capital allowances and is also an expert on UK capital allowances. Phil began his career working in KPMG’s capital allowances team in Dublin before working with two of the UK’s leading surveying based capital allowances advisory teams. Phil also led Aecom Ireland’s capital allowances team and advises a wide range of clients on fiscal incentives for property expenditure.

Julie is a Partner in the firm's Tax Department. She was previously the Managing Partner with J.M. Burke Tax Solicitors which merged with Ronan Daly Jermyn in 2016. Julie specialises in all areas of tax disputes, tax litigation and revenue powers. She is uniquely qualified to advise in relation to tax disputes involving Irish taxpayers (both corporates and individuals) with the Irish, UK and other Revenue authorities. Julie advises at all stages of Revenue civil and criminal prosecutions including representation at Appeal Commissioner, District, Circuit, High Court, Court of Appeal level and also in negotiating settlements with Revenue. Julie also has experience in cross border Revenue proceedings (both civil and criminal).    

Prior to establishing J.M. Burke Tax Solicitors, Julie was Director of Corporate Tax and a tax partner at A&L Goodbody and Matheson. She also worked with a London law firm CMS Cameron McKenna including a secondment with the UK Government.   

Paul Murphy is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and Managing Director with Martin J. Kelly & Co. He is a qualified accountant and a member of the Irish Tax Institute. Paul has lectured with the Irish Tax Institute for over 15 years and also provides taxation seminars for various professional bodies. He is a co-author of the Tax Institute’s Irish Taxation: Law & Practice annual publication.

Shane is a Tax Director based in Dublin. He is specialises in international tax, advising multinationals on investing into Ireland and domestic groups on outward investments, and has significant expertise in the area of corporate restructurings and mergers and acquisitions. Shane is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor and also holds an Advanced Diploma in International Tax from the Chartered Institute of Tax. Shane has contributed to numerous publications on taxation matters, having also acted as lecturer and examiner on a number international corporate tax issues for the Irish Tax Institute.

Paula is a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). She has over 18 years of experience in the tax practice having previously worked in Grant Thornton, Ernst & Young and Mazars.

Paula has lectured on various tax matters for the Irish Tax Institute, Chartered Accountants Ireland, Chartered Certified Accountants, The Law Society of Ireland and other professional bodies. She has also contributed articles to the Irish Tax Review.

Paula’s area of expertise is providing tax advice to high net worth individuals and owner managed businesses. She specialises in advising on property transactions, tax efficient succession planning, mergers and acquisitions and debt restructuring.

Ruth Kennedy is the Principal Officer responsible for PAYE Modernisation.  Ruth has worked in Revenue's ICT Division since 2012 where her role is to enable Revenue to achieve its strategic business goals through the provision of secure, reliable and quality ICT services.  Prior to joining Revenue, Ruth worked for 13 years in Accenture as part of their Global Revenue and Customs Industry group.

Brian specialises in corporate and capital taxes for both the indigenous and multinational sectors. He has extensive experience in advising on tax efficient corporate restructuring, advising vendors and purchasers in relation to share and assets sales and tax efficient succession planning for high net worth individuals. He has particular experience in advising clients in the manufacturing and utilities sectors.

Brian regularly represents Deloitte in presentations and other speaking engagements to client and business groups.
