As technology advances, the role of the professional accountant is changing beyond recognition. Traditional accounting roles are at risk of being replaced by technology.  The skills required in order to compete today are changing rapidly and the professional accountancy practice is facing significant challenges.

In this years Practice Matters conference, CPA Ireland have assembled a line-up of speakers to deliver content specifically to the practicing accountant. Practice Matters is a two-day event featuring diverse presentations from subject matters experts, practitioners and advisers. The conference will provide practicing accountants with an opportunity to engage in varied and informative discussions around some of the key issues, challenges and growth opportunities available.

The conference will open with a thought provoking overview of the economic landscape and what lies ahead for Ireland, the EU and the Global economy.  Content will also include core technical topics such as audit, taxation and financial reporting. 

Additionally, speakers will present on a range of business development focused topics including a presentation on introducing a new IT regime to a fast-growing practice, how to market your practice to increase revenue and a provocative presentation on what professionalism means for the professional accountant.
