PAUL GOSAL BSC AITI ACA -
PRINCIPAL OF PAUL GOSAL TAX ADVISOR

Paul Gosal is the principal of Paul Gosal Tax Advisory a specialist tax firm providing personal, corporate and capital tax consultancy and compliance services to a broad range of individual and corporate clients with business interests in Ireland and abroad. Paul is an experienced and well-regarded AITI-Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant with 15 years’ experience as a tax practitioner. His areas of expertise include tax-efficient Succession Planning and Corporate/Business restructurings including personal retirement planning and tax-efficient cash extraction. Paul has developed a keen interest in tax planning and compliance for internationally mobile individuals including non-residents, expatriates, and non-domiciled individuals.

He is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute (of which he also represents members in Cork and Kerry as Chair of the South West Network) and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. Paul is a taxation lecturer for the past 10 years in Cork Institute of Technology and regularly presents on taxation matters for the Certified Public Accountants and Irish Taxation Institute.

GARY O'MAHONY (BCL, FAC, AITI) -
PRINCIPAL, O'HARA DOLAN & CO TAX CONSULTANTS

Gary advises domestic and international clients regularly on virtually all Irish tax areas, including VAT, Personal Tax, Corporation Tax and Capital Taxes, as well as Revenue negotiations for clients, dealing with investigation, audit or other Revenue queries. His practical and technical expertise in taxation is combined with a strong commercial and professional awareness built up over his career to date as a tax specialist.
Gary has twenty years of experience speaking on a wide variety of tax matters in different forums, domestically and abroad, and has lectured students on tax for a variety of professional courses.

Gary will deliver the following modules:

ETHNA KENNON -
TAX DIRECTOR, KPMG

Ethna Kennon, FCA, AITI is a Director in KPMG Ireland’s indirect tax group. Ethna has over 15 years’ experience specialising in VAT and providing indirect tax advisory and compliance services to a wide range of domestic and international businesses. She also lectures extensively on indirect tax matters to industry members and tax and accounting practitioners.

Ethna will deliver the following module:
  • Indirect Taxes - Business & Property 

DAVID CLANCY -
MANAGING DIRECTOR, CLANCY & ASSOCIATES

David is an experienced tax professional having particular expertise in the areas of income tax, capital gains tax, capital acquisitions tax and personal financial planning.He is a member of the Irish Tax Institute, has lectured extensively for the Irish Tax Institute and other professional bodies and he is a regular contributor to tax seminars and articles.
David started his own company in 1998. The business has grown successfully and has been based on very hard work and wonderful colleagues and clients.

David will deliver the following module:

THALIA O'TOOLE -
DIRECTOR & HEAD OF GLOBAL MOBILITY, KPMG

Thalia has over 15 years’ experience advising on a broad range of Global Mobility, Rewards & Employment Tax matters. She helps companies address the tax/social security, policy and operational matters affecting globally mobile staff. She has worked with Start-Ups looking at their first transfer overseas all the way through to multinationals who wish to benchmark their policies. Having been on assignment herself, she is in the privileged position of being able to see things from both sides

Thalia has a particular interest in Reward and Share Scheme implementation including the cross border tax and reporting implications for mobile employees. As well as helping companies prepare for payroll Audits with Irish Revenue, Thalia performs operational effectiveness reviews on payroll processes. Thalia also provides guidance on Corporate Governance matters related to payroll and HR operational matters.

Thalia lectures on pension, equity remuneration and employment tax matters. She was a member of the editorial board of the ITI’s ‘Irish Tax Review’ professional periodical for a number of years.

LORRAINE MULLIGAN -
TAX DIRECTOR, KPMG

Lorraine Mulligan, BA, MAcc, ACA, AITI is a Director in KPMG Ireland’s Tax Knowledge Centre. Lorraine has over 12 years’ experience on advising on a broad range of taxes, including international taxes, EU tax law, corporate tax, and capital gains tax wide range for both domestic and international businesses. She also lectured extensively on personal tax matters to industry members and tax practitioners.
