David FitzGerald, B Comm, MBS, CTA is Director of Member Services with CPA Ireland and has over 9 years experience with the Institute. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser, and also lectures in Tax and Business Management.



Barry Kavanagh

Barry has been involved in training and organisational development for the past 17 years. Prior to this Barry enjoyed a successful sales and sales management career spanning 16 years in the retail and Financial Services sectors.  During the past 17 years Barry has gained extensive experience in the development of employees from senior and middle management to frontline sales and support staff. Barry’s experience crosses a wide range of business activities in the public, private and SME sectors.

Emer Kelly

Emer Kelly ACA, is Quality Assurance Manager in the Professional Standards Department in CPA Ireland.   



Maureen Kelly

Maureen Kelly CPA, is Technical Services Executive of CPA Ireland.  Maureen provides technical support to CPA members directly and through Institute publications.  Maureen also contributes to the content of the Institute’s ongoing Continuing Professional Education programme and runs the Career Link and Certified Tax Adviser (CTax) courses.  Maureen was also involved in the creation of the first Personal Insolvency Practitioner (PIP) Training in Ireland this year run in partnership with ACCA and CIMA.  She was the Technical Reviewer of the CPA A new Era for Irish & UK GAAP A quick reference guide to FRS102” and has since delivered webinars and lectured on the subject in Ireland and the UK.


Keith Rooney

Keith Rooney is a practising barrister at the Law Library in Dublin. Keith specialises in debt recovery and defence, commercial law and company law. Keith has a broad range of experience as a litigator and has been involved in numerous cases of insolvency, both corporate and personal, seeing first hand how the law is applied on a practical level.
