One to One Coaching, Training & Work Placement

One to One Coaching

The Career Coach will meet with each participant to develop their own career progression plan.  They will get direction on their career and the type of job they want.  They will then find the sources of jobs in the market place.  The Career Coach will assist them to develop the skills to get selected.  Finally they will develop techniques to manage change and stress ie managing yourself.  This module will provide each participant with 2 one to one sessions with the Career Coach and ongoing online support for their career development.  

Training

6 days training will be delivered through Career Link. Each training day will take place from 9am until 4pm. All participants are required to complete all 6 training days to successfully complete the Career Link course. Training will cover the following areas:

  • New Financial Standards Update
  • Auditing & Internal Audit Update
  • Legal & Compliance Update for Accountants
  • Tax Update Finance Act 2014
  • Career Development - One to One Coaching

 

Work Placement

Those participating in Career Link are required to complete a minimum of 5 days (and a maximum of 14 days) unpaid work placement in a working environment, relevant to accountancy. The placement can be completed either in practice or in industry and is required to successfully complete the Career Link course.

Whilst CPA will support participants to source work placement through its network the onus of responsibility to secure work placement rests with the individual participant.
